Here's a really simple kit that makes a very cool cosplay prop or display piece. The USCM Hand Welder is used all through the movie Aliens, so here's your chance to build your own kit!
It's all 3D printed in Green or Black PLA. It also comes with a smoked plexi glass screen and 4 screws.
Instructions:
1- Screw the Gas Tube into the Main Body.
2- Use clear glue to glue the Screen into the Screen Holder.
3- Make sure it’s centered.
4- User Super Glue for the rest of the build.
5- Glue the Welder Tip and Welder Back to the Welder Hub.
6- Glue the completed Welder Hub to the Main Body.
7- Glue the Thumb Switch to the Main Body.
8- *Optional* - You can install either the Large Switch to the left side of the Main Body, or...
9- The Small Switch and the Belt Clip.
10- If using the Large Switch, glue it in place. If using the Small Switch and Belt Clip, glue the Small Switch in place and screw the Belt Clip in place with the 2 M3x8 screws.
11- Screw the Screen Holder in place with the 2 M4x10 screws.
12- Paint the stand flat black.
13- I sponged on some gray paint to weather the stand.
14- Paint the insides of the letters on the Name Plaque yellow. Touch up any errors with more black paint.
15- Install the Support Arm into the Base Back.
16- Glue the Base Back and the Name Plaque to the Base Stand.
You can add some red paint to the back button, and then you’re all done!
