Arthur Remake?
When I first heard they were making a new version of Arthur, I was kind of upset. I’m not a big fan of re-makes, or re-imaginings, and really didn’t think that Arthur needed to be redone. Arthur 2 maybe…
But when they announced that Russel Brand would be playing Arthur, I changed my mind. If there’s anyone who has a chance of turning this new Arthur into something awesome, it’s him.
So now I’m looking forward to it.
And now I really want an electro-magnetic bed!!

The ARTHUR remake looks horrible, and Brand looks horrible. Just so there’s no confusion.
Brand was the saving grace in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. He made the movie watchable. And Get Him To The Greek was ok movie made good by Brand’s performance.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen his stand-up and was not impressed, but he’s found his forte playing the drunk British megalomaniac. And Arthur is the epitome of that character.
If I had an English accent, I would expect Brand to play me in the movie version of my life.
