Rules Lawyer!
Well, it’s Sunday. And for me and my crew, that’s DnD Day!
For anyone who’s been keeping track, they’re up to the 4th Edition of Dungeons and Dragons these days. Aside from still having Wizards, Rogues, Elves, Fighters and Paladins as character options, the game looks nothing like it’s old school, first edition Gygax ancestor.
But it still is fun!
After releasing a bunch of Rule Books for the game, and then releasing pages upon pages of Errata (corrections and changes) for those books, Wizards of the Coast (the new ruler of the DnD world) have released one book to rule them all. The Rules Compendium!
Now I have one repository for all the rules right there in my grubby hands!
So when my DM tells me that the Gnoll Barbarian can attack me from around a corner, I can quickly find the Line of Effect Rules (I added little tabs to all the important rules) and shove them in his face! Lawyered!
Maybe there is something to be said about the old days when players barely even knew the rules…
Anyway, one book, with all the rules at your Cheetos stained fingertips. All you need now is the 30 pages of Rules Compendium Errata, and you’re good to go!

Ok, so I just headed over to the Red Cross website and donated $10 to help out Japan.
The world cannot live without Hentai.
So…. now that I’ve donated, can I make Godzilla jokes? Or is it still too soon?
I Heart Cuisinart
I like to cook, and have been trying to eat healthier lately (dropped 10 pounds so far!!), and since hard boiled eggs are a great quick snack or part of a meal, I’ve been trying to eat more of them. But timing it the old fashioned way was just not working, so I picked up the Cuisinart Egg Cooker:

I LOVE this thing. No thought or muss or fuss, just perfect eggs every time. I actually worried when buying it that it would end up in the back of a cabinet after a week, but 3 months later, I still use it at least 2-4 times per week.
Lately, I’ve also been growing tired of my George Foreman Grill. It was great back in the day when I got it, but lately it just hasn’t been able to keep up. And cleaning it was a pain.
So I looked around for something new, and lo and behold, found the Cuisinart Griddler!

This is such an improvement! Not only are the plates removable for cleaning, but you can flip them over and use it as a flat griddle since the unit opens up to lay flat!
Burgers cooked up in no time; grilled chicken comes out perfect.
So Cuisinart, you win. Now to find a Cuisinart device that will actually cook the food for me….

Booster Gold Swap
I’m sure this is old news to a lot of people, but the art team that’s been on DC Comics Booster Gold for the past year or so (Batista and Perrotta) are moving on and being replaced by the series’ original artist Dan Jurgens.
Personally, I’m really saddened by this, not because I think it will negatively impact the series (only time will tell on that), but because Rich Perrotta and I go back. Way back.
All the way back to the Staten Island Mall, where this was caught on video tape!!
